Fire

Fire

A Poem by Bec

I'm a small little candle
That nobody sees
I'm part of the scenery
But not really there
i'm just a spot of light
That doesn't have a part
In making up the vast entities
which are oh so very close to me
Then something ignites me
And away i go
I've turned into an inferno
Which cannot be tamed
I tear through places
Too numerous to count
Devouring everything that lies in my path
Leaving nothing untouched
Mercilessly raging
And then I see the one
Wanting to transform me
Into something much different
I do try to fight it
But I have no chance
The water I'm given
Is perfectly pure
and so crystal clear
It cools the heat within me
It changes my whole nature
I've become a new flame
One that is shinning
Burning brightly
Freely showing my colours
And i will burn brightly
I will burn endlessly
