So You're Drifting

So You're Drifting

A Poem by Rebecca Raine
"

I'm a little frustrated at someone. I figured I could blow off some steam without actually having to do anything.

"
So you're special to me.
I expected you to be better than the rest.
Instead I've been disappointed time and time again.
You used to be there.
You used the care.
Where did you go?

So you're important to me.
Start showing me it wasn't a mistake.
Remind me again why I smiled when you came around.
Make my days a little brighter, like you used to.
Be something refreshing to me.

So you're a pain in the a*s.
I've stuck around this long, what's another year or two?
You do things I hate, but I love it.
Those little things that get under my skin are starting to make me laugh.
All your faults are what make me stay.

So I knew you.
I remember knowing every little thing about you.
Now I fight to get any form of feeling from you.
I'm here.
You should know this.
So express your gratitude.

So you're everything to me.
I need you more than you need me.
I know this.
So don't drift away from me.
Don't you dare do it.
Or I'll drift off with you, and then where would we be?

About
Hi. I'm Rebecca. Generally I don't take the time to make things like this. Generally I don't take the time to do much of anything. I'm pretty busy all the time and it's rare if I get pen to paper. How.. more..
