I Found You

I Found You

A Poem by Rebecca Raine

I found a home in you.
You welcomed me most graciously.
You dealt with all my faults.
You let me in, though I was not worthy.

I found a light in you.
Your smile breaks across your face and I feel new again.
Your hand caresses my skin and I feel warmth.
Those eyes penetrate my being, and I feel safe.

I found a friend in you.
You were there to help, not harm.
The connection between us like two magnets clinging to one another.
A shoulder to lean on whenever it was necessary.

I found a hope in you.
You were my source for a new beginning.
The evil of this world couldn't penetrate your uplifting spirit.
Anything was possible with you.

I found a life in you.
You pulled me from my dying days.
You delivered me from pain.
You came to my rescue.

But what I found most.
I found you.

Sweet and too the point. The best type of poem. You don't drag it out too much, you let it flow out directly from the heart. Its beautiful
