Four Hour ConversationsA Poem by Beckie DA poem about a long distance relationship
Romance wasn't part of the equation
Friendship was the core It was simply platonic conversation Until it became more I didn't see it coming Neither did you Then it hit us like a ton of bricks It changed so quick Friends were now love sick Suddenly my heart told me to choose So I chose the life of constant travel Of lonely nights And doubtful days I chose the life of constant waiting With distractions here And fantasies there I chose the life of perfect love I chose the life of perfect trust Whenever I doubt You reassure I chose the life of perfect us Romance wasn't part of the equation Friendship was the core But since that four hour conversation You've given me so much more
