CheersA Poem by Beckie DI wrote this about my first boyfriend from high school and how we became friends later (even though we don't really talk much these days).
If we could go back there when you
Said that I was pretty and you Held my photo so close like it was a dream that came true Would you make it something different? Do you think it could have been better? Or is it like predicting the weather? Something you just don't know how to do I'm not chastising, that's not my way I want a chance of uniting, I wanted to say After all I still love you, after all I still need you here So I raise my glass to you and I say, "Cheers". Do you really think our time was Nothing but a pure wasted cause? I remember fighting and laughing But I don't know what for I think there's something beautiful in growing There's something more to high school than just learning I love the fact that I was always turning Into something you'd later adore I'm not chastising, that's not my way I want a chance of uniting, I wanted to say After all I still love you, after all I still need you here So I raise my glass to you and I say, "Cheers". I won't use excuses For once I'll use fact Adolescence is hard and I didn't want to deal with that Whether or not there was something wrong inside my head I still did it There I said it Don't you forget it I'm not chastising, that's not my way I want a chance of uniting, I wanted to say After all I still love you, after all I still need you here So I raise my glass to you and I say, "Cheers". © 2012 Beckie DAuthor's Note
