Second Imagine Draco (Harry Potter fanfic)

Second Imagine Draco (Harry Potter fanfic)

A Story by Beck Louise

The sun had faded away now and all that was left of the day was a faint orange and pink glow on the horizon. Darkness was invading the sky, painting over every inch of daylight. Hogwarts was lit up. The great hall filled to bursting with students rushing to dinner. There was much noise and laughter above the scrapping of plates. Draco sat amongst the other slytherins. He strained his neck, trying to look at the Gryffindor table. He had a horrible feeling in his gut. You weren't there, and you never missed dinner, not ever. He didn't know where you were, but he didn't have a good feeling about it.

The darkness had provided you with a sanctuary. You sat on the floor of your dormitory, cradling yourself, rocking slightly. Your tears ran down onto your arms. Your head hurt from crying so much, and your heart beat wouldn't slow down to a safe pace, causing you to take numerous shallow breaths, getting frustrated when your lungs refused to take any oxygen. You could feel the blood pouring out of your arms and legs. You felt so vulnerable sitting, barely dressed, every cut exposed in the moonlight. Today had finished your tolerance, or what was left of it. You could no longer accept being treated this way and you were powerless to do anything. Every time you looked in the mirror, your reflection taunted you cruelly. You'd looked at it so much now that a part of you had gone into that reflection, but you still weren't looking at yourself. No one would care anyway. If you were gone, eventually everybody would be a lot better off. Certainly, no one would miss you. Draco would find someone much better, someone worth his time, worth his love. You felt that urge again and you grabbed the razor, hands shaking. There was barely room left of your arms around the words 'worthless' and 'pathetic' already carved harshly there. You looked to your legs, also brutally massacred with deep inflamed cuts. You screamed out in frustration and anger, pulling your shirt up, cutting deep into your stomach. Sickened with yourself and head hurting, you threw down the razor. Hugging your knees you rocked back and forth again, crying insanely, hyperventilating now.

You could have had a heart attack when the door was flung open. Seeing the flash of white blonde hair, you panicked.
"NO! DON'T LOOK AT ME!" you curled up further, trying to hide your shame. He stood there in front of you, looking like someone had punched him in the stomach.
"Wh-why?" was all he could muster, his voice cracked and horribly sad. You just blinked at him, not knowing what to say.
"I...I...I don't know" this only made him angry
"You don't know?! how can you possibly not know?! This isn't the kind if thing you do without reason!" his yelling made you flinch and you put your head back on your knees, crying heavily again. He stopped yelling when he saw you cry. He didn't really know what to say any more. He sat down next to you and cuddled you into his chest.
"I didn't mean to yell, it's just...you mean so much to me and I just can't bear.." he cut off then, obviously pained by these thoughts infiltrating his mind.
"I feel so alone" You managed above the tears
"But, you're not." he said simply, pulling your face up to look him in the eyes.
"Don't you get it, you'll never be alone now. All you have to do is tell me, I'll stand right by your side every second of the day of that's what would make you happy" There was nothing else any of you needed to say then. He stayed with you all night, holding you, gently kissing every cut. You fell asleep holding his hand tightly. When morning came, he walked down to the great hall with you, never letting go of your shaking hand. To your surprise, he didn't let go and walk off to the Slytherin table, instead, he walked with you and, ignoring all the stares and dirty looks, sat down next to you at the Gryffindor table, Still not letting go of your hand. There was so much whispering and Goyle shouted out "Oi Draco! Very funny, come back over ere now!" Draco turned around
"It's not a joke Goyle" He said coldly, Goyle slid back down into his seat, looking pale and confused.
"Mr Malfoy, what do you think you're doing at this table?" Professor McGonagall looked down upon him, stunned and annoyed, and Draco stood up.
"I'm sitting with my girlfriend Professor, she needs me"
"Mr Malfoy, this is drawing far too much attention to yourself, now please, return to the Slytherin table with the rest of your house"
"No" He stood, adamant
"I beg your pardon?" She looked taken aback
"I said no. My girlfriend needs me and I'm not leaving her. So unless you want to move me yourself, I'll be sitting back down now" You smiled, proudly, awaiting McGonagall's response.
"Very well then" She stalked off, obviously annoyed, and Draco sat back down, ignoring everyone's whispering and snide looks.
"See I told you. I'll stay by your side, every second of the day, if you need me to." You smiled again, watching him proudly. You didn't care what anyone else said about him, you loved every bit of him.

lol if you only knew how close this was to a dream I once had; I was going out with Draco. I told him I didn't support his cause, I was actually friends with Hermione, Harry and Ron, but that didn't matter. lol XD this is headed straight to my library.
