Wonderland

She was just lost in wonderland

she'd let herself lean too far 

slipping into the rabbit hole

maybe she would never come home

She had fallen, chasing something

that never even existed at all

a distant dream, that had slowly

burned through her sanity

Falling, deeper and deeper,

it got harder to return to reality.

The journey was nearly ending

her final breath being drawn

The water closed in around her

consuming her short existance

she would die just as she lived

dreaming of a better life

such a sad poem. many of us have failed dreams. we wish we can achieve them but we get nothing and die with many regrets. such a sad existence with no fulfillment
