I'll find my peace of mind,

take my heart away from you.

I'll sellotape it back together

and never let you touch it again

The deep scars will fade

but the traces of hurt remain,

seeped painfully into my skin, 

like the venom you shot me with

You never saw the pain you caused.

I guess It was my fault anyway.

I let you destroy my faith.

I'll never make the same mistake again

Others may come close to my heart,

but close is all they'll ever get.

THis sounds like No Name. I think a lot of people want to have that feeling after something rips your world apart. The best way I deal with it is to memorize the good times and carry the latter stories to tell later but leave the heart break and acknowledge their lack of existence. This is an excellent, emotionally charged and relateable poem. Thanx for writing it! The tone is crystal clear.
