Every morning is the same.

Every morning is the same.

A Poem by Beck Louise

Drenched in regret,
but showing no remorse,
She stares at the sky,
hoping to float away.

Her cigarette burns bright,
the ash will crumble and fall.
like her soul, it hits the ground,
burnt, used, unwanted.

She leans over the balcony,
tempting fate to push her,
but it just laughs harshly,
at her feeble attempt at escape.

Sickened, she empties the bag,
making lines of pain on the table.
It poisons her body carefully,
Slowly, silently killing her.

She does not fear death.
It would be a welcome holiday,
releasing her from her cold body,
just another suicidal call girl.

wonderful job. I like your style of writing. I really like the third stanza. Very nice job of portraying emotions in this one.

The fourth stanza is my favorite. Very dark, yet so true. For any person, call girl or otherwise. Very well done!!

So many people live this story, it's sad and harsh but they'll never want to change accepting a few miracles.

Poems or stories where a girl wants to end it, drown her sorrows eith drugs, that kind of thing.
I like the word choice; it really paints a clear picture and mood. Well done!
