Slipped away

Slipped away

A Poem by Beck Louise
"

This is very personal. Please review but I ask you to be gentle.

"
Words that slip away, so meaningless
The realisation of the end.
Nothing matters now, so irrelevant.
The pain knowing I lost a friend.

You're in every memory, every piece
Looking back on a life so carefree.
I see now what wasn't clear before,
I took you for granted so easy.

I've never really believed in heaven
But i know you're looking down on me
Watching as I go on with my life
Hoping I'm all that you wished me to be.

As time goes by we learn to live again,
Hoping you are happy wherever you are
But on those crisp nights you show yourself
And I look to you, my shining star.

My words seem meaningless because your poem is too great for them. :)

Dead end. Very strong and sad but the picture is very clear.

Thanks :)
this rings true to me in more ways than one for there is more than one kind of death and it surrounds us. the only people who ca truly live a happy life are those who accept that. people leave us through death physically and mentally it is a fact of life and we must accept that

This is truly beautiful, so much emotion comes from your words and it always is a dazzling transition from losing someone but finding solace in different ways. Sometimes you don't really know how much someone means to you until they are gone, this was a great way of portraying that. Thanks for sharing this awesomeness with me :) great job!
