That girl

My heart aches for that girl

yearning for acceptance

staring into the abyss

wanting but never taking

Is there hope for that girl?

standing alone in the crowd

wanting to fit in anywhere

but craving to be unique

Will anyone help that girl?

as her wrists bleed again

tears falling forever more

pain undulating in her bones

Does anyone know this girl?

faking her constant smile

she looks back at me and I cry

finding that girl is me

wow a deeply personal poem. i hope this is cathartic for u. I was once a very shy person. It took me a long time to be a talkitive funny person. but when i was teeny i barely said anything and felt alone. I guess over time I got tired of my own dead personality and worked on improving myself and i slowly started to feel better :) great piece
