You were there at the begginning of time
When the sun and the moon met on regular intervals
You were there when plants rose from the ground
And entangled you to the ground as they slowly climbed
Up your naked body.
You were there when the animals of this world first came to be
And they generously eat from the food you gave them.
You were there when the extinction of life began and ended, when the ice covered
Around you, yet you stayed alive.
You were there through the snow and the rain the fire and the bloodshed
You were there when humanity came to be
You were there when cities sprung into life buildings as tall as the sky
You were there when we cut you down and turned you into paper
You were there when we folded you and tore you to pieces before you became Something else.
You are here in my hands
You will be there when I die
You will be there when the world collapses and fade into nothing but dust
you will be there when you are born again
Into this world.
interesting piece with a lot of description. I liked the flow of this and other than that word begginning (beginning) that bothered me, it was an excellent piece. :)
