When we were.

When we were.

A Story by Reason

Come back to me.
That time when the grass was green and the sun would never set.
Come back to me.
That time when all that clouded our innocent minds was you and I.
And it was ours.
The rooster would crow and the sky would be cloudless.
I belonged to you and you to I
Time non existent for all we knew was now.
All that mattered was that we mattered together.

And now
I'm cold, i'm so cold.
I no longer hear the rooster for our sun no longer rises.
The sky is grey and dirt replaces our grass
Time has become a constant reminder of the way things used to be.
When I belonged to you and you to I
Everything matters with you gone.
Everything and anything now replaces the place you were
When you were mine and I was yours.
When I belonged to you and you to I

Nothing is ours.
Come back to me.
So my sun may rise
Come back to me.

Why won't you come back to me.
