Midnight

Midnight

A Poem by Emrys Realmskip

Midnight in black light, holding on so tight to your flash light.

Pull over rover your diving and dipped to soon.

Holy molly roller, you phasing to the moon.

Crash collision coarse won’t save you to soon

Just bite your lip and taste the life you never knew.

Just know that all I wanted was to be with you

You said a handful in so few words. You made the reader believe and see in vision, your thoughts. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

What I enjoyed most about this poem is its fresh sense of rhyme. The opening line rhymes onto itself, and then the write hits its stride, ascending into monorhyme end rhymes. The final two lines read almost like a modern rhyming couplet, a lovely little flourish with a sting of truth in the tail.

Thanks for the honour of being among the first to review.:):)
