Six kingdomsA Poem by Brandon BarkerSix kingdoms and I have felt need to crySmoke clearing, kingdom gone I gaze on my arm, blood has been drawn Fall to my knees, hands trembling in fear Look to my shoulder, a full bandolier Weapon in hand, munitions at the ready Around my two feet, six kingdoms stand steady To point at one is to point at all For without one, another shall fall Wipe my brow covered in sweat To venture fourth, entails regret Fate unknown, I raise my gun Shot one bullet, but hit not one Six kingdoms awake, to a shot rung out Look upon I, a victim of clout Surrounded by dreams, of valor and gold They could not read out, what had been untold A sacrifice of which is rarely understood One final attempt, to make some good Unspoken words of past time’s pain A death upon which took place in vain As the cloud of dust fades, all become present A moment of hush, brought on by a peasant Simple yet complex in the question of why This simple man felt the need to die Words unspoken, yet heard alike Told of a world constantly filled with society's dislike Fear and death of the normal function Unaware of a simple malfunction Final life’s tear seeps from my empty eye A gold-filled soul saying good-bye No longer shackled by the chains of my words Its meaning can be heard amongst voice of birds Six kingdoms look up in mash anger Wanting to push blame, for the death of this stranger All raise their arms and take sure fire Each muzzle that flashed spoke of misfire Six kingdoms and I lay here in ash Unable to stop a cataclysmic clash One that shrouds the opinions of all Six kingdoms and I, have felt need to fall
