Our Love

A poem I have written for the love of my life who is living 1,800 miles from me, she flew out for a month and has just left, wrote this for her on our 4 month :)

Our Love

I arise to the beauty of which you define

I am still in amazement that you really are mine

You fill my soul with the rich warmth of your love

Fruitful and sweet it carries me above

Far above the pain and sorrow

When I lie next to you, I do not long for a morrow

For when you and I lie there together

I want to live in that image, you and I forever

As your eyes flutter open to gaze with the truest of blue

I freeze in awe at the beauty of you

For now I see the soul for which I have longed

The one of which my heart has belonged

these past three weeks of you and I

Have made me laugh, have made me cry

Soon the fourth will be over and through

Into the distance your plane will have flew

My soul will cry and long for you

The one who makes our love so true

Time will pass and we will conform

Our love will last in every form

What we have forged is stronger than steel

Though our time was too short, we proved we are real

I love you more than any poem can describe

Within my heart your love shall always reside

I like this poem. I like it when somebody takes a story that maybe many people have gone through and makes it unique. I think this can be improved with a bit of polish here and there, but other than that it's really nice.
