Chained and Caged

Chained and Caged

A Poem by R.Inc$
"

An aging crow giving words of wisdom to a bird made prey.

"

Little songbird let your song shatter the chains surrounding your cage and fly off on your own.

If your former captures can't bear to see you soar without them, then that is their pain to endure not yours.

Don't look back with eyes or a heart full of pity. For they abused their time, intentionally or otherwise.

Little songbird, fly high and sing loudly, above all else make your own heart content.

Take these words of a broken old crow with no murder of his own, and never let someone else's cage become your sky,

Never let someone else's command become your voice, and never let chains decide the limits of how far you can go.

Smile little song bird, for the days of your life are still plentiful and full of possibilities.

This is such a hypnotic poem.I was draw by the name and held by the words.I love the fact that these are birds talking. And the older broken bird is telling the younger bird basically not to be caged by something or someone. It's such an inspirational poem. I actually felt like I was the young reckless bird being told I can do anything if I put my mind to it.Beautifully executed.Flawless job.
