Truth isn't always pretty

Truth isn't always pretty

A Poem by R.Inc$

Truth isn't always pretty, Lies aren't always beautiful, Love isn't always fair, and Hatreds aren't always forever.

This kiss lost it's innocence when it's intent was veiled.

This hug, this embrace, were nothing more than chains used to weigh me down as you drown me in insincerity.

I swore that I was loyal, but I never swore loyalty to you alone.

Honor and honesty to myself rises above all other pieces.

Pawn , knight, rook, King, or Queen, they all fall before me when I make my move.

Shamefully I haven't always been true to my character, unluckily my pride is the source of my redirection.

Proudly my pride takes in itself the duty of making my desires a reality though it's methods may be a bit surreal.

How dare they call pride a sin when sinners have no pride in their sins.

For pride has no guilt for the means justify themselves even if the ends are never met.

Pride will kill me before I fail, for failure is the acceptance of failing.

Truth isn't always pretty, Lies aren't always beautiful, Love isn't always fair, and Hatreds aren't always forever.

So Hate lies for a moment and Love truth forever.

Kiss regret goodnight and leave before the dawn.
