Faded

Faded

A Poem by Robin
"

a poetic collaboration with Poppy Silver

"

I saw ten thousand fists in the air

neon did they glow with doubts of immense proportion

angered eyes reflected in skies of fury

stories betrayed the old gods...what else could they do?

nothing, for the wheel was turned, the runes uncovered, and the masks to be burned

all knowledge hidden with them...dare to know, it can release lost souls

a pyre of lies, an oracles breath, and the veil slips into the night

with no stars to greet such lonely moments, mysticism shall falter and

shudder...offer a last lament

silent echo fading into the abyss…

an awesome collaboration of two very talented poets. I am reading Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol and reading this poem put me in mind of this fantastic novel, mysticism, old knowledge. I have often wondered how man lost some of the knowledge that he apparently had at one time.......could it be found again, perhaps under the veil?

There is a desperation of half baked souls that this poem eloquently puts forth. Collectivized frenzy exploding into spasms of violence... It works nicely as zeitgeist. Wonderful collab by two talented poets...

I would really say that its more than than outstanding imagery. The scene was magical! The flow in this was the leading magic, ready with over pressure to out burst. All aspects of poetic skill matched up with the intention of meaning.. Magical!

'with no stars to greet such lonely moments, mysticism shall falter and

some powerful images in this and so very visual, ' I saw ten thousand fists in the air' what a brilliant opening, mysticism, the essence of spirituality lost, tragic and heart rendering in a broken world. great to see this kind of collaboration between two outstanding poets.

funny thing about echoes.... they last a lot longer than the sound.
