Nereid

Nereid

A Poem by Robin
"

Sea of Dreams

"

My eyelids flutter softly

upon the wings of a watercolor dream

where a secretive moon spilled

desire upon a lazurine sea

lucid submergence

where fate and hope

dance in a whirlpool

a melody of contrasts within

the shadows of Aegean blue

and there , I touch her face

Her , a goddess who offered me her mouth

I , a gift from above

a ripe plum for her to savor upon eager lips

glistening pearls gracing her breast

a sacred mala gliding through her fingertips

our secrets are unleashed

as I gaze into her eyes

seductive mystery in reflection

mesmerized ...

I am swept into her grace

this fascinating jewel of the sea -

radiant , sensual

palms touch in chiromantic rhyme

tactile translation of skin and need

erogenous tracings , a silent language

woven into the silk of the night

her whispered breath filled my being

as her lips finally touch mine

caressed by her melody

timeless notes impressed into my soul

magique aquarelle

in the ethereal depths of

                                      bliss ~

This is all lucid dreaming, a creative state to be in. Aegean antiquities revisited, channeled, transcended into these words, your ethereal fantasies. Blue was never deeper.

why do I suddenly feel like having some olives and feta cheese?
btw fine stuff

This is mystical and dreaming. Entranced by a beautiful creature that makes you sing with delight and feel like you can finally breathe. This tells a romantic tale of love and I love the slow move of the piece.

Oh my! This leaves me breathless... Your whimsical poem is not only passionate but very surreal. I get a euphoric vision of the imagery that you depicted... Great write!

now you know I can't resist a mythological piece, much less a greek one! and you've captured this brilliantly - the scene, the action - all perfectly painted in your words - nicely done!

Such a beautiful ode to the Greek Mythology, You capture Nereid brilliantly, it was, to me felt like a child of Aphrodite, the goddess of love, the way you wrote it, however this wasn't ofcourse... Superb!

The tone - sensual and tender, almost...cherishing, worshipping. And the imagery so pointedly perfect - sinking into crystal depths. beautiful poem, beautiful word-picture. Thank you for sharing it~
