Sidewalk flowers

Sidewalk flowers

A Poem by Robin
"

She had long black hair

"

citykitty curbside streetrhyme clickyheels feeling

hipsway coolstrut barethreading indigo and gold

mean beats concrete cool lacewishes hoppin'

quickpop storefront windowglare expletives

love

bright light night neonspirit firewalker

jack straightup  and  nevernever rules

no to no not to make her mistake her or try to break her

owns the room room to roam roam to rome

where all roads lead to home

in a sunrise mindrush in mandarin grey

and her crumpled bed that consumates her day

anotherday her day her way

tilted jilted   mary go round and down with alice

in the fuss of a bus stop gutter

her gutter  her rain  her pain

and laughs

somehow you've made this read like a canvas that's been painted with music. this part right here:

bright light night neonspirit firewalker

jack straightup and nevernever rules

no to no not to make her mistake her or try to break her

that part gets a hearty 'mmmmmm....'

loved all this Robin, but especially the bits about Rome.

Favourite lines...and her crumpled bed that consumates her day
another day her way day.

I love the melody in your carousel of words again, you let the child spin within... sametime weep the cats painful moments, into the truth almost of a as a well-preserved visual strip a dream came into a reality (to) show... Good work.

Playful fun with words, love the combination of words to make new ones...reads like a song...with a song you have created a woman, or with a woman you have created a song.

I love this. The first two lines made me want to never stop reading, and then the last two words lifted me out so fittingly, sad it was over, but satisfied anyhow.

Love it! It is fun just reading this outloud. English is my second language so I get such a kick out of playing with words. Language can open up such a broad scope of understanding and comprehension of the world around you. Eliciting so many different emotions..like music. LOVED THIS-my talented Robin!
