ME

ME

A Poem by Robin
"

who else

"

I'm eclectic, electric

living a life that's hectic

a dreamer who stops and thinks

and chases them into reality

I control my emotions

music, words and thought

self expression  ,  my art

I'm your best friend

or your worst enemy

I leave that to you

and even then, if you need help

I'm there to give you a hand

I say my church is pine scented

my body a temple

I understand faith, hope, and love

pause in the still for buddhism

can light the fire of the kundalini

and I have loved a muslim

I make my own rules

because it's my life

my path, my decisions

if you cant handle it , walk on by

I can handle the rain

you won't stop my parade

I keep marching

and live for each day

label me, call me names

I've heard them all

I know who I am

I love it , Life

my Life

Me

Yes! Learning to love the person you are sounds simplistic... but many fail miserably, thus their hateful expressions/outbursts. It sounds cliche, but the bully is always a person uncomfortable within their own skin. They lash out to make people feel small like they do. Your writing is inspirational & uniquely you.

I like this poem. To know and understand your purpose give you great strength. I never did care what other thought of me. I must face my image in the mirror and like who is looking back. A very good ending. A outstanding poem.

this was kindly put "in your face"....truth spoken and you really know yourself with this....
"I make my own rules

because its my life

my path, my decisions

you cant handle it , walk on by"

that's a nice way of saying 'this is me, love it or leave it, ain't nothin but a chicken wing'...
