Savor

Savor

A Poem by Robin
"

live and love

"
have you ever caressed the curve of a bird of paradise

against the back drop of an indigo dream

felt the pulse of starlight

piercing in a kiss

from a lovers quiver

do you let the heart dance with the lace of passion

and twist a moment into a silky braid

defiant under the ancient sky

shouting out her name

a Goddess

between the breath of shadow and moon

hear the stars laugh

as you savor the taste of eternity

and feel a smile

for you -

you live

you love

There's such longing in this ! the images are so vivid I can almost taste them... there is also an ambiguity in the poem that I feel really lends itself as the emotions and images are also intangible and without definition.. I cannot exactly explain what I think it is about, or the images, or metaphors within it, but I have an immediate emotional response to it..It was a lovely poem to find and read tonight, so thank you and well done :) x

A sensory switch is flipped on when I read these passionate & flowing prose. Each time I feel that the coldness of the world has frozen off my ability to feel real emotion, you write something as stunning as this. Thank you for seeing love and life in everything around you, you are the hope that we may still have a chance at this upside down carpet ride.
