Eidetic Silence

Eidetic Silence

A Poem by Robin
"

Instant Memories

"

Her name was a poem

drifting upon a garden of secrets

of tears and passion

of fear and loathing  in a  brave new world

I felt the shadows fall across her eyes

restless veils

the black lace of a naked summer

I , her prince and staret

her retreat

our bed surrounded in flames

the candle ~ Anastasia

flickering eve

yearning for the moon

we never slept

like these memories

entangled souls

bending time

eidetic silence

under the crush of love

Wow this stirring inspiration never has you at a loss of words...and the space placed in between is a vase living such thought in a beautiful arrangement, cut wet from time and strung along the mind like the many stages of what poetry should leave and never do..amazing

You express things in a way that I wish I could, you really do... I cannot even find the words to review it; your work to me is so elusive... I feel this is because I have not reached a point in my life, my poetry, and my mental state in which I can fully comprehend the depth and meaning of what you write, but it does touch me, which is why I continue to read it.. Thank you and well done :) x

I feel I will be contemplating this instant for quite a while, as always Robin, you make me think.

Beautiful writing Robin--both deeply fluid and evocative of a picture taken in a moment of time--

entangled souls
bending time
eidetic silence
under the crush of love

'garden of secrets' is brilliant.
'crush of love' too.

love holds us even after the door was long ago shut, leaving stamps, proof of its existence on the dusty bookshelves of our minds. it was worth falling into. what is sleep when beauty lies in your arms.

Ah your distinct voice continues, what were the influences of such a voice? I'd be interested to know...
