I would contend the opposite. The mind is the point of contact for wisdom. Like in a flamethrower the ignition source is the mind and the heart gushes forth the flames but without the mind's spark that will not happen.

The mind is unwise in all of its perceptions so self unaware, changing as the tide does. But if I can see others through the the heart, there is the chance I may see them in reality for who they are and not through the veil of my perception. I think the heart can, if it chooses, reveal our true nature.
