Sinner

Sinner

A Poem by Roseanne W.
"

written in 2003

"
My wings lay torn,
feathers littered upon the floor.
No longer innocent
my halo ‘s gone
crystal existence shattered,
morals no longer matter.
Shadows overtake the light,
darkness’s embrace
Tears fall over what is done,
but saline doesn’t wash away the blood.
And regret doesn’t erase,
consequences of decisions made.
