From the Frozen Plain

From the Frozen Plain

A Poem by Ren

I.
Somewhere outside of your vision
Lies a treasure out of reach
A tempered, silver duality
Set there to commit your beseech

A royal blue made for the best kings
Covering the untraveled cave
The icy dampness benumbing one's skin
Leaving the nightmare in its icy foyer

The alpine mountain circled by beauty
The frosty fields of algific roses,
A forgotten plain covered in winter.
Tundra of memories, left in whist

II.
This gem is a curse of living
A bittersweet osculation
Once a majestic golden ray of light
Glimmering on a gallant aqua

Now the sea is glazed in indigo
The sky holds in its violet hue
A chilling breeze carries dead memories
This wasteland traveled ev'ry equinox
