Falsify

Falsify

A Poem by Ren

Let the matrimony begin

Let's fight our brother
for our daughter's sake
Carry the request
of no dying man

Guard the fortress of your home
with only the tears of your mind
After all, your arrogance
will petrify your enemy

Wish upon every star in the sky
In the end, you're the only one to cry

Walk away from all you give
No enchantress will save you
You must fight just to live
carry all lies among two,
So that only one will lead
and the other, left to feed.

. if this isn't powerful poetry ... i dunno what is ... absolutely brilliantly written ... there are universes of meaning here ... and without getting into each one of them ... i'll just say that i detest lies too ... and the last two lines hit like a bullet ...

The matrimony is an invisible contract of all human brethren, so to speak. It details the common duel between our fellow man, and the speaker realizes how absurd it actually is. In a nutshell, the narrator accurately depicts human nature at its worse that is bound by falsification. It also appears as though the speaker feels as though there is no remedy to this issue because of our pride. In regards to impressionist thinking, it gives me the image of war, but I perceive it as the constant universal battle.
