Who Can I Trust

Who Can I Trust

A Poem by Raymond Collado

I never thought you'll leave
I never thought you'll go.
I never would've thought that u will be a hoe.
Riding round these streets.
With sex on your mind.
A freak in the sheets.
With a heart so unkind.
A good Guy like me u will not find.
But that's alright cus I'm still fine.
Trying to go for mine
Time flies by like a bird in the sky.
Or a plane in the clouds.
I remember.
Yea I remember I used to be proud.
I would say it loud.
But a game of misery and mistakes.
That's what this was about.
I was going down the right road until you came along and changed the route.
I changed your life for the better.
Took you away from the bad weather.
But still.
Though I helped your mind so ill.
My heart you aimed to stab and kill.
With your mighty will.
I chilled.
Back and relaxed the day you explained the facts.
The facts that made you not want me or love me.
Any longer.
So much destruction had already been on its way.
I had time to grow stronger.
My hunger.
For love disappeared.
I didn't care to hear the things you said to my ear.
Cus I neglected the feeling of sorrow and fear.
Times flies like a bird in the sky.
Or like a shooting star.
I wonder where you are.
You just left with no good bye.
But I.
Have forgotten what that was.
Cus that.. like a nut it bust.
Love.
How can I love if I cannot trust.
Anyone.
I cannot trust.
For today its all about lust.

This poem was really good. I found humor and sadness in it.
I am going through a heart-break right now, and I could completely relate to a lot of things you've said. I haven't had closure either, and it's difficult for me to like someone again, 'cause I've been afraid of losing them too.
Nice work in this. :D
