Forgotten Remembrance

Forgotten Remembrance

A Poem by Lindsey Manic Muffin
"

Nonsense

"

A forgotten memory,

Something left behind.

A broken promise,

One not to find.

On the verge of remembering,

We choose to forget.

The remembrance of the forgotten,

Thrown into the pit.

The thought of remembering it,

Sends me into a blind charge.

Makes my mind go weak,

And my heart ache.

I want to forget the memory,

The broken promise behind.

But the more I forget it,

I choose to remember to find.

So I'll choose to remember,

The forgotten promise at hand.

Smile and remember,

About the honest land.

The verge of remembrance,

Is in my heart to be true.

So I hold it out of my best,

And hand it to you.
