My Last Song

As I sing this last song

I hope you all will hear,

All that my life has brought.

Every last tear,

Every last thought.

I hope you hear the melody,

Of all the pain I have felt.

But I hope you know,

You never could have helped.

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL POETRY, Raynie.
I have a hard time writing short-form these days, they all want to go long; but when i meet someone with such a talent as to say so much in such short-form, I am always consumed by it.
I was enthralled in this verse several times over--short though it was.
