In the Mind of

This could be about multiple different types of disorders. In my case, I wrote it from the view of depression.

Takes my sleep,

Makes me weak.

Shields my eyes and

Muffles my cries,

As it feeds me lies.

Keeps me from reprise.

Never ceases

To be a surprise.

Coming at terrible times.

Locking me up

(Oh, my foul luck).

Taking the keys,

Leaving me to weep.

Nightmarish slumber,

Booming thunder.

All just sucking me

Even deeper under.
