You're Not The One

You're Not The One

A Poem by Ray Gal
"

I thought. I was wrong. You're not.

"

I wasn’t so sure if this is real

The sensation that I feel

Then you looked me in the eye

This is the one, I sigh

But you’re not the one

Cause you don’t want to be

I want to grow old with you

But you’re not going to be

I’ll let you go even if it’s hard

Cause what harder to see is to see you sad

I’ll fight this emptiness and pretend there’s joy within

Like fighting a battle when I know I can’t win

Even it’s hard, I’ll set you free

Cause your happiness is what matters most to me

And if there’s someone that makes you happy

I wish that it’ll be been me
