DistanceA Poem by Rayne MurrayIs it true that distance kills? Is it the pain that can't be distorted by pills? I don't thinks so But then what do I know?
So you say I'm far too gone To sing along In our once merry melody It's now excluded me
Others understand That distance isn't in my hand I can't change it Or rearrange it
If I could we wouldn't be so far away We could dance and sing and sway But you say it's to much to bear The fact that I'm not there
I've altered only slightly But they changes you don't take lightly Other care enough to ignore That I'm not close enough to knock on their door
One day I hope you'll think so too Once again our friendship will bloom But until them I'm fine with who I got The friends who care distance or not. © 2012 Rayne Murray |
