Love Isn't Enough.

Love Isn't Enough.

A Poem by Chan

Within these walls,
tears taunt those who dwell inside,
Tearing at hearts,
screaming out at the lies.

Alone in pain,
alone in sorrow,
Torturing emotions,
a neverending flow.

Attempting to stay together,
learning love isn't always enough,
Too different to be together,
unable to be apart.

Knowing no happiness will ever settle,
try anyways for a dream,
Reality rears it's head,
love turns to hate.

Violent fights replace sweet caresses,
hurtful shouts take the place of loving words,
Leaving now will be painful,
staying would only kill them both inside.

wow.. this writer tells us these stories as if she has experienced them firsthand..
another great example of capturing the essence of the situation..
it so so true that love isn't enough..
and what's needed more is a mutual amount of respect and admiration for each other..
i love the diversity of the dream and reality part of this piece as well..
and the explanations of the extremities that exist..

BRAVO!

and maybe kill one of them on the outside as well.
it is so hard when love turns to hate.
and no one needs to settle for that...
there is love awaiting out there...the kind that is soft, caressing, touching, not hitting...physically or verbally.

WOW, I Now feel that Love Heals ALL. My wife passed away in April and it is so dam lonely without her. Now all i can do now until somebody comes along is to post some of the Very Erotic writings that she now has inspired in me. Love can turn to hate and feeling lost BUT Love can also find you and lift you up into a world only dreamed about. Can you also believe that??

u keep on tryin to think that things will be fine someday but now and then u face problems in overcoming those fights and sorrowful situations that u finally decide to let go of everything for sake of happiness which we find in separated lives.............. Great theme and effort///////// nice imagination

Pain and conflict reside hand in hand within your writing. Love it. I shall not be one to give you advice. Whether the content be based in reality present or past, or someone that you know, it is the writing that matters here, and yours is powerful, insightful, and imaginative. Bravo.

"try anyways for a dram, reality rears it's head" - My favorite line. Beautifully written and shows the reality of a life that some people live in. It reminds of my own family so I like that it is relatable. Great job.

Holy Smoke, I looked for sweetness and light
and found a big fight.
'You have done a great job, it is a
good example of a bad situation and time to
leave.

Appears as if you have actualy experienced this scene first hand. The last twelve words of this poem truly paints the conclusion of many relationships!

Maybe it could be set to music.

Love is only one part of many needed emotions. Kindness and being there when needed is some of many things needed to maintain a relationship. Poem is powerful. Can feel struggle to hold on to a piece of love and emotion. A excellent poem.
