The Little Man's Reflection

The Little Man's Reflection

A Poem by Raymond Federle

Men among Gods,

like words between mountains of thought.

We converse with mammoth inspirations beyond dreams of understanding.

The infinite insanity, alone and altered, crossing the frontier on broken promises.

Where in the end the little man who sees a face in the mirror, is him, talking to himself.

We'd like to think we are kin to the gods, but life and the mirror tend to put us in our place. Solid stuff, indeed.
