The Devil's Sin

The Devil's Sin

A Poem by Raymond Federle
"

The Devil's Sin

"

The fire consumed what goodness brought, from places filled with light.

Devoured joy and happiness to the Devil's dark delight.

He mused God's joke was humankind and felt the joy of sin.

He hated joy and loved to hate the love he so condemned.

He watched the souls of Hell parade and felt the goodness give.

The b*****d Devil stood and wept and cursed the life he'd lived.

The devil's sin! I love it, what could possibly be a sin to the most sinful? I love this, its genius! "He mused God's joke was Humankind..." I liked that. Thank you for writing.
