Flakes

Flakes

A Poem by Raymond Federle
"

Flakes

"

In random miracles,

falling to their destiny.

Soft and light,

summer's forgotten tears.

Pausing on the wind,

moments fleeting,

as they continue their intrepid plunge,

from the clouds to the wanting earth below.

Cautiously lingering,

in the cascade of the languid winter sun,

before floating down the delicate,

worn paths formed in the air by their predecessors.

This was a wonderful way to write about snow. It's beautiful. And I couldn't stop laughing at that gif. xD

A great poem. Snow rules, at least in my opinion. I loved how peacefully you described the snowflakes yet added a sense of thrill to it. Bravo!
