I went walking...

I went walking...

A Poem by Raymond Federle
"

journey of mind and body

"

The desert holds an inquisitive thought about dew drops.

The sun bathes in a well-deserved sky.

A wanderer lingers in the dusty sorrow.

Eternity emanates the rapture of velvet understanding.

Shall not the night dwell on the starlight of the morning water?

The sand dances to the desert's sorrow.

Studious delight!

The wind aches for the ocean's abandonment.

The rose weeps with barren disillusionment.

The moon dwells on reflective abandonment.

The ocean calls forth the ecstasy of the deep.

Eternity dwells on the joy of virtuous knowledge.

The sun revels in the agony of reflective sorrow.

Might not the red rose hold meetings in the midsts of natures laughter?

The waning moon shines on the wanderer with the delight of knowledge.

This is an amazing piece, each and every line is superb, and feels wonderfully unique, as if the world has been personified as a wandering soul! My favorite bit, was when you simply wrote "Studious Delight", it is shorter than the other lines, and so different in content, that is just JUMPS OUT at you. Probably one of my favorite poems by you.

The epic proportion of this poem, like a masterpiece of words.. and I like how cool and calm the title is, so nonchalant, really cool! Very powerful imagery and outstanding use of personification.

a red rose weeps with barren rapture... I lingered on this image, Raymond - an amazing image. What might we find, if we are so inclined to wander...

A moon shines like the knowledge of a wanderer's delight.

Great imagery and personification throughout. That is a meeting that might be worth attending.

Raymond, this was such a peaceful and fulfilling write my friend. This took me away for a few moments this morning, allowing me to forget who I am. That is often a good thing. Very nicely penned.
