Connection Lost....

Connection Lost....

A Poem by Raymond Federle

Connection lost....

Today is the day you feel hectic.

You've been swallowed by crypic tones.

And so you see yourself in the mirror of the static.

Your hold has been conceded, this is the verge of a new age.

Error 404.

Page of life not found.

Refresh the memories of forelorn thoughts.

Back up the ideas of a mental state,

And file them for future reference.

Page not responding....

Go back to the begining and try again.

The error is in the format.

Defrag to recover lost space.

Connection lost....

I read this poem over and over and enjoyed it more and more each time. Great delivery. Powerful moods. My favorite lines are "Page of life not found" and "Back up the ideas of a mental state." I think Frankenstein is the first text that dealt with the the trade-offs we make along with human progress. It's amazing that we are still making those trade-offs.

Technology is a good thing and yet it has taken alot of the personal touches away - emailed greeting cards, text messages instead of a voice on the phone...

I like the way your mind works Raymond...now if I could only keep up with you!

stepping from a time of the individual mind, from being just being to the age of ''IT'', you have put it
across in a very unique kind of way, brilliant.

wow our connection with life lost...so aptly described here, wonderful use of the error message...
technology seems to distance us even more from the pulse of life...

we become more detached to the physical intimacy...

really like this...a couple typos easily corrected, but such a good piece of writing with great philosophy.
