Stupid Little Faces

Stupid Little Faces

A Poem by Rayenne
"

I wrote this for a friend

"

Looking out the window

I used to know a man

who recently made me a widow

Of that, I'm not a fan

He used to bring me roses

set them in the ivy

he'd wait until my door closes

he made my life lively

He used to call me pretty

He liked to call me Ray-Ray

His mom called me kiddie

I just wanted to stay

He told me I was the only one

He said I'm his rock

Then he said I was no fun

He cracked the key to my heart's lock

I enjoy the flow of the poem, and the last line is powerful.
