Distance

A map is placed in front of me,

and I point out where you could possibly be.

I don't know where you are right now,

but I hope you are thinking of me.

I miss you every day and every second that lingers by,

I hope you still  feel the same way,

because you are always on my mind.

I can't wait to see you,...soon - I hope.

This distance is so hard to cope.

As I wipe away a tear from my eye,

I remember our last ''goodbye.''

Regretting that I didn't hug you as much,

or kiss you a certain way or such.

Sometimes I must admit I Google map your house,

and remember the memories of us together when it was just you and me.

I guess you don't how how much a moment is worth until it's just a memory.

So now as I wipe another tear from my eye,

I pray that this kind of love will never die.

Though the miles between us stretch so far,

but I'm with you where ever you are.

And since right now we are not together,

keep me in your heart and I'll stay there forever.

Oh awwwh, wow! I actually have a poem quite similar to this. Long distance relationships suck really a lot! Sometimes whenever you fall so hard for that person the distance is no longer a factor for you. It gets difficult to stay with them but yet the love is so powerful. If you really care for the person, you'll try to cope with the feelings of being so far away. I love the lines:

"And since right now we are not together,
keep me in your heart and I'll stay there forever." --- I think those two lines are the most adorable and sweetest lines out of the whole entire poem! I enjoyed reading it even though it brought a few tears to my eyes! I've been in long distance relationships before and I haven't had much luck with it either! Keep your head held high and keep your heart kept on V.I.P for only that one guy! :)

Thank you so very much for your review. Those lines are from a quote he always says to me. :) I decided to put them in this poem. I've been in long distance relationships before, but this guy isn't too far away. He's my best friend and we've been together since August. I always keep my heart V.I.P for him, it's always been that way,since I met him :) I just came back from my Semi Formal, sadly he wasn't able to go, and unlike other people there, I am completely committed and a monogamist... I am completely committed to my man, and I love him with everything in me :)
