Hurt

A poem about a friend of mine...

I don’t understand why you do this to me,

I really, really don’t.

We once were really good friends,

But I guess it had to end.

I feel like we’re falling apart,

I guess our friendship was doomed from the start.

I’ve tried to make this depart as easy as could be,

But everything that goes wrong you blame me.

Why am I always the bad guy?

I try to have the best intent.

But I guess all we really need is some time to think and vent.

I have been gone for a day,

And you’ve stole my friends away.

I don’t understand it,

They can be your friends too..

But the way you handle it,

It hurts.

Do you hate me that much?

I have been lonely for a while,

And as soon as I’m gone,

You see an opportunity to make me miserable.

Don’t you see there’s something wrong?

We were once really good friends,

But I guess eventually everything ends…

i'm not sure in what context this was written, but...if you had a romantic "thing" with a friend it would explain the feeling of betrayal...if not, then you must regard friendship as fickle. it takes decades to establish a true friendship, trust me, i know. and friends "with benefits" almost always goes sour. this is an emotional piece with scadzoos of peersonal anguish and a lot of emotional pain. well...you hit the mark on a well delivered write

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it. and no, this is about a friend of mine,that I'm reconsidering our friendship. We've never been romantic or friends with benefits, she's a girl,and I'm straight. She's been my friend for a very long time, and it's been difficult to even think about ending our friendship, I do not know what to do.

extend that olive branch and let your true feelings be known. often when a friendship is strained or alienated one is waiting for the other to make the first move. question: which is more important, swallowing an ounce of pride or renegotiating the frienship? there is your answer

i can only say/don't suffer abuse at the hands or whim of others it only serves to denegrate and and wrongly influence you. lots of people out there who will not take you to task for your friendship. your call...only tryn to help
