Tall Tale

Tall Tale

A Poem by Soul Fire

Walking through the halls,
With a secret inside.
Blending in with the walls,
A secret concealed within.
So camouflaged.
Living a lie.
Trying so desperately to hold back the tears,
Trying so hard to stay alive,
But it’s so hard when all you want is to die.
Your living a tall tale,
But inside who you truly are,
Is longing to be shown.
But the angst and fear inside stop you.
You don’t know how to do it, or what to say.
You just want the pain to go away.
So you keep it inside you,
And lock it away,
Not tell a soul.
And  you tell yourself,
‘’Maybe another day.’’

This is a poem that reminds me of two friend I know who are very much in love but cannot be open about it due to complications. They're living a talltale as they go about their daily lives longing for each other. I loved this alot.! :)
