Hidden in a Sea of PainA Poem by Soul FireDedicated to a dear friend of mine.Secrets hidden behind her smile. Are unrecognized for quite a while. I considered her a friend. She was so smiley, even then. But inside she was nearly dead, She’d stay home, quiet as come be. Feeling so lonely, Even when she had company. I didn’t understand what could be wrong, She kept this smile on her face, It looked out of place. I knew something was going on. I asked her about it, Or at least I tried. Later I discovered the truth, She punished herself for things she didn’t do. The cuts on her wrist told a story no one knew. She was the most smiley girl in the world. No one noticed no one knew. When people finally noticed it was a discovery for all. ''Why? Why Rainbows?'' I asked her one day. Her answer ‘’I just wanted to pain to go away.’’
