Freedom of HeartA Poem by Soul FireThey say a girls first love is her father, That he’s the proof that not all guys will hurt you. But what happens when your first love breaks your heart? Where do I begin, where do I start? Tears streaming from my your eyes like Niagara falls. Uncountable tears, pain from many years. Forgiveness and Redemption seems so far away. No one wants you, but everyone says ‘’It’ll be okay.’’ But a little girl with a broken heart isn’t really a good start. You try to find someone to replace the love you once had, But it’s kind of hard trying to find a ‘’new ‘’ Dad. A little girl so lonely in this world, Searching for a boy to help her heal. But the boys she falls for, make her make a deal. They want something, that is totally unreal. A little girl just wanting love, Gets more than what she asked for. She got more than she thought. Now the boy left her, crying, in the dust. She learned early, love from lust. Her heart is so musty, full of heartbreak and pain. Everyday to her, it’ll rain. The pain will make her shake. She’ll store these feelings, until they explode. Anyone in her way, will implode. She’ll become an earthquake, And it’ll rain. She hopes for Prince Charming, She wishes for her presence. But once she thinks she finds him, She’s pretty hesitant. Later on, She realizes he was never Charming, Or a knight in shinning armour. He was a thief in the night, Collecting virginity. He threw her away, No one to hold her, No one told her ‘’it’s okay.’’ She ran away, Ashamed of her self. She put herself back in the box, and went back to hideaway. Just when she thought she’d stay there forever, She met a boy, nearly a man. He said it’ll be okay. He told her he’d understand. She told him the stories of a thousand seas of tears, She told him the pain of a thousand years. She expected him to leave her there, as a tear went down her cheek. But instead, he held her there. And never left her side. This is the ending of the misery, Kiss the pain goodbye. She’s found her true love, And there’s no longer a tear in her eye. He wiped away, and counted every tear. Forever the sunshine never the rain. Never again in such pain. SMB©2012
