UndesertedA Poem by Soul FireA poem about love, lust, and forgiveness.
You deserted me inside of myself.
I knew you better than anybody else. I was lost and forgotten in desert terrain. I guess you'd never feel the pain. You left me in the dust, Drove away, and recovered my body when you wanted some lust. I fell under your spell, Made excuses for you, Unlike anyone could tell. And that one day when you came back, I turned away and never looked back. I don't want to be in a line up of girls. I want to be the only one who makes your world twirl around. I do not want to be prey to a hound. I just want you to be in love with me, even when I'm not around. Don't be sniffing for booty around town. Because I'm more than just a lovely catch, If I can't be your first,I want to be your last. I don't want you to look back on the past. I want you to look forward. And if you can see us last... Let's begin at last.
