A Tear

A tear I shed down my cheek.

I felt like nothing,I felt so weak.

You looked at me and called me ''dear.''

You told me not to worry and that you'd be there.

So away I cried my life away,

and you assured me that you'll always be there,

and that you'll stay.

You wiped away every tear,

''Do not worry,my dear.''

You held me close and comforted me.

''Don't worry,baby.''

You reassured me of all my doubts,

Turned my pouts into smile.

And in a short while,

I was laughing and smiling.

Not a tear in my eye,

I looked to the sky,

as I chuckled away.

Then I got serious,

and looked away.

You put your hand on my shoulder,

you told me not to worry,

That you'll always be there.

That you'll stay.

That you will never leave or go away.

Thank you dearest.

And I'm glad you stayed.
