TravelerA Poem by Soul FireA poem about a lonely hitchhiker
A man is on the side of the highway,
His thumb up high. He left his home, It's miles away. He's moving away, Where he's going he doesn't know. He's just trying to get by, even if it means a few ''goodbye's''. A backpack over his shoulder, A tear in his eye. He didn't mean to do what he did, He's all alone. No where to go. Going and leaving is all he knows. What's his story, I don't know. All he knows is to leave and to go. What's his story, No one knows. He's the man of leaving and going. No one knows who he is or where he's going, Not even himself. His thumb up high. All he wants is to live like he's living before he dies. This is the traveler of empty ties.
