Sad Man

Sad Man

A Poem by Soul Fire

What a sad man you must be,
To hurt your family like that.

What a sad man.
What kind of man would do that?

There you are sitting on the edge of a bridge, with a baseball cap and beer.

What happened to you?
To make you end up here?

What a sad man you must be,
To do that to your family...

You left them, and slammed the door.
You didn't explain yourself.
You just left.

You caused alot of pain...
You took away a childhood, before it had to end.

You are supposed to be a father,
Not your childrens ''friend.''

What a sad man you must be,
To take away your childrens home.

Making them homeless,
They're barely grown.

Where will they live,
When they have no where to call ''home.''

You had so much time to plan,
You thought it out like a battle plan.

You must be a really sad man ,
To throw away your wedding bands.

You claim you want the best for us,
Then you appraise our house.
When we were gone.
Why don't you see that's really wrong?

You blame mother for things she did not do,
To make yourself sound better.
What a shame are you...

You are as mean as a boy,
You like to mess and toy.

But you are a grown man,
You should understand.

You are nearly 42,
What happened to you?

You gossip about Mother in front of me and my brother.
Why can't you see that it's wrong?

What a sad man you must be,
To do this to your family.
